Crazy beautiful landscapes this weekend in the Biewdouw Valley. Situated  between Clanwilliam and Uitspankraal, this section of terrain is desolate, with patches of greenery near watering holes. The rock formations are something else, a solid source of inspiration in my life right now! Been dreaming of an overland trip through Colorado, but settling for this right now isn’t a bad second option!

We headed into the drylands for a weekend of adventure, our rooftop tent is definitely a gamechanger. This marks our second trip with it and its easy set up has me realising why I wasn’t into camping before. We cooked, laughed, bent the steering, burst a tyre and dug ourselves out of sand. In other words; we got covered in dust, took the cars off-road, burnt 30 bags of wood, and were utterly and totally mesmerized by the fire. Until the next.

Beautiful post babe, you really capture the desolation of the southern Cederberg so picturesquely! I was there in December and I’ve had the itch to escape back into the mountains ever since.

Why are we so lucky to have places like this in our crazy magical country.
