We’ve been staying in the city quite a bit these past few weekends, and as much as I would like to say I’ve really been enjoying it; I’m starting to feel caged beyond. I really crave the fresh air, the open landscapes and of course the adventure. That being said I have been able to catch up with friends, and wear pretty dresses that might feel out of place in the bush. Maybe I just need to be more active in the city, we are so close to nature here in Cape Town. And also maybe I need to stop complaining about not being away cause I sound like a broken record. Winter is fast approaching so camping trips will soon be out of the question, but I do have a list of cute cottages and fireplace friendly getaways (maybe I should do a post?) in the Western Cape.
This past weekend we celebrated Pesach and Easter (my husband being Jewish), Sunday lunch with my family was beyond delicious. I must admit my Nonna still pulling out all the stops when it comes to cooking up a storm. I popped down town after lunch to shoot these pictures, been wanting to style up these earrings for ages. Pom-poms are everything lets be honest and their revival is making sure that nostalgic childhood memory never fades. I count resist them in red, but also got them in a soft grey on silver hoops, which have that disco appeal from the 80s. Paired with a flouncy Sarah Feldman dress, with Victorian ruffles and pussycat bow, just waiting for a lift back into the 1800s.
